Drama with David

So I saw my sister at the donut shop this morning and she tells me that there was a really bad situation at her house last night involving David and the mother of his child.  We spoke for a few minutes in the parking lot of the donut shop and from what Isa was able to tell me, things escalated to the point where the police was called.

It wasn't very clear to me EXACTLY WHY they fought this time around except for the fact that David got some advice from other family members about going on Disability or some such thing.

Its clear that things have reached an untenable situation with these people and something needs to be done.  A family intervention may be required before my sister ends up in the hospital in a complete nervous collapse.

God, what a clusterfuck.  And I don't see an easy or efficient way out of this, considering the fact that there is an infant involved.

Thanksgiving Day 2007

Shitty.

AJ and I had breakfast at Denny's and then went home and stayed at home until it was time to go to my sister's. 

For one reason or another, I didn't get to my sister's house until almost 4:00 P.M.  Right before that, I ate something bad at the Jack-In-The-Box on Marine and Hawthorne (I never learn with that place, they've nailed AJ twice, and I have been hit before today) and my stomach was really bothering me most of the afternoon.

Once we got to Isa's house, I setup my laptop and we saw some stuff on YouTube until my father and then Pete arrive a little later with his family.

Dinner was just OK although there was a lot of tension and back and forth with a lot of people at  the table.  Eventually, after dinner, my wife left and then the drama started.

Sebastian, the newest member of our family, was acting up and crying, and his father David, was not handling it very well.  At some point the baby got so angry, that he stopped crying and breathing and that amped up the melodrama to an unbearable degree.

I went outside and sat by the stairs and was unaware of everything that took place at the table after I left.  I found out later that things escalated between my brother and David because Pete felt that David disrespected my mom.  Because of this, Pete got very upset and started throwing things around the table.

I texted my son and told him I wanted to leave, but he eventually came out and we went back in the house.  The upshot of the whole event is that this is the 2nd T-day in a row that was colorized by drama at the table due to tension between family members.

I have no idea what is going to happen next year.   This is getting really bad. 

What a horrible Thanksgiving Day.  I hope'08 is better.  It certainly can't be much worse, that's for damn sure.

Seby back in the Hoospital and other stuff

Sebastian's Jaundice rears it's ugly head again
Evening jolted by an SMS msg from my nephew David, asking for prayers because he had returned to the hospital again. Much drama ensued from there.

Mom gets a car
My Mom got a different car (a used Silver Honda CRX) and brought it by for me to look at.  She seems to be reasonably happy with the terms she got and even happier still with the fact that she has rid herself of the lemon Toyota Corolla she had been driving for the last few years.

Bathroom Remodel Starts
In other news, work on the bathroom remodel started in earnest today, with much noise, dust and breaking down of ugly-ass bright green tile being demolished.  Yay!
